BitLocker provides the most protection when used with a Trusted Platform Module (TPM) version 1.2 or later. The TPM is a hardware component installed in many newer computers by the computer manufacturers. It works with BitLocker to help protect user data and to ensure that a computer has not been tampered with while the system was offline.

Customer comments:

My surface restarted and now it's on admin mode and I tried to force a reboot and use code to do it even tried to unlock my hard drive but the bitlocker has it locked and I don't have the key because I bought this computer from someone is there any solution. The only thing I can think of is to buy a new hard drive and replace the old one

Customer comments:

Ok so my niece and nephew happened up on a surface pro 4. It has bit locker and then can't get in. Well they verified its not been reported as stolen and waited the allotted time.

So i gave downloaded the surface reinstalled to a thumb drive and tried the various videos and such for wiping the device with no luck.

Everything seems to go as plan but in the end it says no changes were made, etc..

I did sew that someone else used a full Windows installer to reinstall the device and had to reinstall the surface with the surface installer.

But it requires a keyboard which i dont have.

Anyone else have any ideas. U would just replace / upgrade the drive as its an i5 but watching the videos, I'm not someone who likes to screw with the electronics parts mostly.

Thanks for any advice.
